California-Born Hot Chicken, Angry Chickz, Is Headed to Texas

More food options in the state of Texas are always welcome aren't they? With so many tastes to fulfill here in the Lone Star State, there's bound to be a favorite that you'll find. One of those new favorites could be Angry Chickz.

What Is Angry Chickz And How Did It Start?

The year was 2017, and David Mkhitaryan discovered the delicacy known as Nashville Hot Chicken. Mkhitaryan was unaware that the food item was a thing, and according to the official website of Angry Chickz, made it a life goal to create his own version of the food. Finally, after much testing and making sure he had the recipe perfect, he opened the first ever Angry Chickz eatery.

Since then, the restaurant has grown from its first location in the state of California. It now has 33 eateries, per CW33, and soon, the growth with make its way to Texas. But when it will appear for the first time?

Well, the wait won't be long, as the company will appear in Texas in 2026.

Angry Chickz Coming To The Lone Star State In 2026

As revealed by CW33, Angry Chickz is set to open 25 new eateries soon, taking place over five years. States included will be New Mexico and Texas. But which parts of the state will see the eatery?

Places includes in Texas will be Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth, Longview, Sweetwater, and Wichita Falls. In a statement, Vice President of Franchise Development for Angry Chickz, Mike LaRue:

“This is a major step for us...We’ve been hearing from fans in Texas and New Mexico for years asking us to come to their community, and now we’ve found the right partners to make it happen.”
