
68 People Hurt In Port Arthur, Texas Bus Crash
A scary crash in the state of Texas resulted in 68 individuals being sent to a medical facility. Here's what is known at the time of writing, as well as how the people in the involved in the crash are doing health-wise.
How Did The Accident Occur?
Per 12 News Now, the accident took place at 4 PM on Texas Highway 73. Police in Port Arthur report that the Hotard Coaches buses involved in the accident were in the middle of taking workers from a plant home when the situation began, The buses themselves did not collide with each other on their own however.
Police revealed that a dump truck got in front of the first bus, and to try to and not it, the the first bus slowed down. The second bus was able to also slow down, but the third bus was unable to stop in time. This resulted in the buses hitting each other and the workers onboard being sent to a medical facility.

Where Were All The Injured Persons Taken For Treatment?
12 News Now had an interview of the individuals on the bus, describing the moment:
12 News Now revealed where the workers were taken to as well:
- 36 people transported Baptist Hospital in Beaumont
- Four taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont
- 28 to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur
Thankfully, none of the workers with critically injured and were released from their medical facilities. The crash continues to be under inquiry.
