8 Unique Events Happening This Weekend In East Texas – Feb. 7th
(East Texas) East Texas has been in the deep freeze the past couple of weekends, experiencing freezing rain and blustery north winds. Winter has kept the majority of East Texans indoors and away from social events and from getting outdoors and enjoying their weekend. Well, for those who enjoy warmer weather, this weekend is for you. Keep in mind, though, Old Man Winter is not done with us yet; he will rear his 'ugly head' again a couple of more times through early spring.
With nice weather predicted for this weekend, let's get outdoors and enjoy it. Whether it's taking a drive to historic downtown Henderson, or to have a picnic at a park at Lake Palestine, or enjoying a burger in downtown Mineola, or paying a visit to the glass bathrooms on the square in Sulphur Springs, this is your weekend. Get outdoors and do something fun because your weekends will soon be filled with spring projects and lawn care!

With all the events happening around East Texas this weekend, there is one event that will have thousands of East Texans staying indoors this Sunday afternoon and evening, and that's Super Bowl LX! The game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots can be seen on NBC with kickoff happening a little after 5:30. Make sure you hit up the grocery store early to get all the snack food and drinks you need to make your gathering of a few to quite a few a success. Here's to wishing that your team wins that coveted trophy.
