Burglary Alarms and Quick-Thinking LPD Officers
At 10 AM on Friday, March 7th, 2025, the Lufkin Police Department responded to a robbery at Western Finance on South Chestnut. An employee told officers about the robbery and described the suspect.
Though he said he had a gun, the employee never actually saw a gun on Mitchell. While LPD was still processing the scene at Western Finance, a second robbery call came in for Covington Credit on Frank Ave.
