Texarkana Weather Forecast for Thursday- Friday

Several different forecasts show a significant amount of heavy mixed precipitation starting on Thursday with snow accumulations between 2- 6 inches, with locally higher amounts, and ice accumulations up to one-half of an inch. It only takes a quarter of an inch to start bringing down tree limbs and power lines.

Notice: SWEPCO is monitoring the potential impacts of winter weather. Make plans now to have a backup plan for the use of medical equipment in your home. Go to swepco.com/outages/stormprep/ for more information. It's also a good idea to fully charge your cell phone or any communication device ahead of tomorrow just in case of a power outage.

Portions of south-central and southwest Arkansas, southeast Oklahoma, and northeast Texas are likely to be affected by the winter storm. The strong winds and weight of
snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic
power outages.
