Throwback to the ’90s ‘Roots and Boots Tour’ in Hot Springs
Are you ready for a country music '90s throwback party?
Roots and Boots Tour
Get ready to head to Hot Springs, Arkansas this Saturday, August 24, for the Roots and Boots Tour at Magic Springs Theme and Waterpark. The '90s era of country music was at its peak with some of that decade's best country music artists. The Roots and Boots Tour will feature Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw, and Arkansas native Collin Raye. Those three country artists had a string of hits on the radio and were part of an exciting time in country music with the emergence of Garth Brooks, George Strait, Brooks, and Dunn.
Aaron Tippin
Aaron Tippin was topping the charts with his patriotism with the hits, "Where The Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly" and "You've Got To Stand For Something," to name a few. With his unique vocal style, there was no denying who you were listening to on the radio. With his big burly mustache with a bodybuilder body, he became known as the muscle dude of country music.
Sammy Kershaw
Louisiana native Sammy Kershaw topped the charts with "She Don't Know She's Beautiful," "Queen of My Double Wide Trailer" "Love of My Life," and many more. In many ways, Kershaw sounded a lot like one of his musical heroes George Jones. He had a distinctive voice and when he was on the radio you knew who it was.
Collin Raye
The pride of DeQueen, Arkansas Collin Raye who cut his teeth playing in bars and honky tonks including the former Pines Country Club in Texarkana. The local folks called him Bubba Raye, a nickname they used around where he grew up. Like so many artists Raye made his way to Nashville and the rest is history as the story goes. With his smooth vocals, he began to produce one hit after another having amassed over 50 Top 20 Billboard hits like "Love, Me," "My Kind of Girl" "That's My Story," and countless others.
