The Texarkana Texas Police Department has made two arrests and is looking for a 3rd suspect following the theft of a truck and camper that was taken from a business on the 2000 block of Texas Boulevard in Texarkana, Texas.

Texarkana Theft Reported and Detective Tracks Trail to DeKalb, Texas

Texarkana Texas Police posted on their Facebook page that on Monday, October 27, the victim reported that his 2020 Ford F-250 and his 37-foot 2024 Puma Palomino camper, worth a combined value of around $85,000, had been stolen from inside a fenced business area. Surveillance video showed the theft occurred around 11:30 PM the previous Friday night on October 24.

TTPD's Detective Lauren Freeman was able to track down the stolen vehicle in the DeKalb area. She was able to find the location where witnesses had seen both the truck and camper over the weekend. The truck was eventually found abandoned northwest of DeKalb, but it had been burned.

Two Arrested, One Suspect Still Sought

Kenneth Shavers 41 years of age and Nicklas Burkland, 37 years of age, were both arrested and charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Detectives believe a third person was involved in the theft and are working hard to find him.

The camper, which was a Puma Palomino Model 29BHQB, has not been found. Texarkana Police are asking if anyone has seen the camper or has information about who the third suspect is or where he can be found to call Texarkana, Texas Police at (903) 798-3116.
