Part of a Nationwide Effort With New Sorting & Delivery Centers

The Postal Service has been working hard for these improvements by opening more than 150 sorting and delivery centers across the country since 2021. These facilities use new technology and updated logistics systems to help move mail and packages more quickly and efficiently.

USPS officials say the improvements have already helped boost service performance, especially during the busy holiday season.

The upgrades come as the Postal Service prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary and continues efforts to modernize operations, improve customer service, and better serve communities across the country.
