Take a Ride Through Texarkana History on the Downtown Trolley
Texarkana History Hits The Road This Fall
The Texarkana Arts & Historic District is launching Ride Through History Trolley Tours, giving residents and visitors a new way to explore downtown and hear the stories behind the people, places, and landmarks that helped shape the community.

The free trolley tours begin October 1 and are an extension of the popular Bike Through History program. The trolley provides a more accessible option for those who want to learn about Texarkana without having to make the trip on two wheels.
Working with the Texarkana Museums System and local city historian Matt Solomon, the tours will take passengers through downtown while exploring how Texarkana came to be. Along the way, riders will hear about historic landmarks, notable residents, local lore and some lesser-known stories from the city's past.
Free Tours Offered Through October and November
Regular public tours will be offered Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, with special Senior 55+ tours on Friday mornings.
Thursday evening tours will leave from Texarkana, Texas City Hall, 220 Texas Blvd. Friday senior tours and Saturday morning tours will depart from the Texarkana Regional Museum, 219 N. State Line Ave.
Seating is limited to 28 passengers per tour, including space for one wheelchair user. Riders must reserve a seat in advance, and each tour needs at least 10 registered passengers to operate.
October reservations are now open, while November dates will be announced later.
