September Downtown Live Texarkana to Feature Gospel Music

Get ready for September Downtown Live in the heart of Texarkana on September 13, from 6 PM to 9 PM.

Indulge in Texarkana's history, art, and culture as merchants will be open late for shopping, restaurants will be serving great local cuisine and live music will fill the air as you stroll downtown.

This month Downtown Live will be featuring special Gospel performances by area choirs and Gospel groups Blackstrap performing at Cafe Lucille, Special Reserve, Crookneck Chandler, Special Reserve, Bryan Gafford, Ryan and Leah Rainer featuring Samantha Miller, the Apostolic Tabernacle choir, Texas Middle School Choir, Texas High Choir plus more.

 "There's something truly special about Downtown Live. The atmosphere these events create is truly energizing,” said Lani Crump of the music duo Jody and Lani.

“What a gift to see local businesses, the community, and the arts come together to celebrate Texarkana's history and future. We can't wait to share our music and be part of something so special."

Jody Crump was formerly a member of the band Pocket Full of Rocks, while Lani worked behind the scenes in the music industry. The couple combined their love for music when they began leading worship together and writing songs for their church. This will be their first appearance at Downtown Live.

Other artists such as Sarah Grace, Hadlei Givens, and Colton Barker will be featured at this month’s event.
