CASA & TCAC Launch First-Ever “Over the Edge for Kids!” Rappel Fundraiser
We've all heard of being Over The Top, Over The Moon, Over Something, or Overwhelmed. Plus, there's Over The Counter, Over The Wall, or Over It. But how about this one, going "Over The Edge" to raise money for CASA and TCAC?
Hang on to your chinstrap, Texarkana. An exciting new fundraiser is coming to downtown Texarkana this spring, and it’s not for the faint of heart.
CASA for Children and Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center (TCAC) will host their first-ever Over The Edge fundraiser on April 18, 2026, inviting community members to rappel down the building at 300 Olive Street in Texarkana. Yeah, that's the edge we're talking about below.
Participants must raise $1,000 to earn a spot on the ropes. Funds raised will directly support programs that provide hope, healing, and justice for children who have experienced abuse or neglect in our area.
How to Get Involved
- Rappel for a Cause - You must raise at least $1,000 and go “Over the Edge.”
- Become a Rope Volunteer - Assist professional staff with rope operations.
- No experience required!
- Training provided from 8 - 11 AM on the day of the event.
- Volunteers may rappel without fundraising.
For those who don't wish to volunteer or raise money to participate, you can always donate to a repeller and cheer from the ground. Show up, show your support, and encourage the participants.

Organizers say community involvement is key to helping CASA and TCAC continue their life-changing work across the Texarkana area.
