A 15-year-old juvenile has been arrested in connection with an aggravated robbery that occurred late last week at a convenience store in Texarkana.

According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department's post on their Facebook page, the robbery happened just before midnight on Thursday, July 22, at a convenience store located in the 200 block of West 38th Street.

Investigators say the suspect entered the store wearing all black clothing and a black mask. He allegedly pointed a handgun at the store clerk, demanded money, and then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Texarkana Investigation Leads to Arrest of a Juvenile

Patrol officers responded quickly to the call and searched the surrounding area, but the suspect was not located that night.

Detectives continued investigating the case and were eventually able to identify the suspect. The 15-year-old was arrested Monday, July 27, and charged with aggravated robbery.

Officers and Detectives Praised For Quick Response & Investigation

Police credited both the patrol officers who initially responded to the robbery and the detectives who followed up on the investigation.

Their combined efforts helped identify the suspect and bring the case to a close with an arrest.
