It's October, so it's almost time for Oktoberfest in Dekalb. So, get ready for some fun this Saturday, October 7.

All the fun and food start at 6 AM with the Pancake Breakfast at the Fire Station located on Cobb Burkett Lane.

Then, from 8 AM to 4 PM, enjoy great food and shopping with all the vendors set up down Runnels and Bowie Streets. Plus all day until 10 PM kids can enjoy all the rides with the Sunshine Carnival.

Kids of all ages won't want to miss the Oktoberfest Parade at 10 AM as it heads west down Highway 82.

After the parade get ready for more fun and great events like the Art Show and the Quilt Show. Limber up with the Rocking A Yoga Studio. There will also be a ton of fun for the kiddos with Kids' Games and Face Painting at the Telford Building. Then there is the Salsa Judging and Beans and Cornbread at the Williams House.

Enjoy great local music from 12 PM to 3 PM It's Backyard Jam over by the State Theatre. Play games like Cake Walk from 11:30 and at 1 PM in the middle of Runnels Street and BINGO at noon and 2 PM in the the Storm Shelter.

At 5:30 PM It's the Oktoberfest Show with Big Dreams in a Small Town at the Dekalb High School Auditorium.

Then there will be more music to enjoy downtown by the Gazebo with Lane Bricker and Band.
