Well, that didn't take long. We are barely into 2025 and already we have snow in the forecast for all of Arkansas later this week

Usually, January and February are our coldest months. We've had a pretty mild fall and winter so far so it feels a little surprising to see a chance of snow in the forecast.

Now, before we all get too excited remember it is a forecast and with the weather being it's unpredictable self things can change. Now, watch there be no snow at all.

Even though snow is forecast for basically all of Arkansas, the southern portion of the state has the greatest chance of snowfall.

Southern Portions of Arkansas - Including De Queen, Hope, Texarkana and El Dorado

The forecast shows 30% chance of snow on Thursday with a high of 37. There is a 70% chance of snow Thursday night with a low in the low 20s. Then a 60% of rain and snow on Friday with a high of 37.

Mid Sections of Arkansas - including Mena, Little Rock and Forrest City

Most of the mid portion of the state will see a 50% chance of snow Thursday night with a low around 27. Then on Friday a 50% chance of snow with a high in the mid-30s.

Northern Portions of Arkansas - including Fayetteville, Mountain View and Blytheville

The forecast calls for 30% chance of snow on Thursday night with lows in the mid-20s. Then a 30% chance of snow on Friday with highs in the mid-30s.

Of course, as we get closer to the end of the week that could all change so just keep your eye on the weather this week, stay warm and remember the four Ps to watch out for: People, Pets, Plants and Pipes.
