If you love downtown Texarkana and are excited about its future then you will definitely want to catch a very special Imagine the Possibilities Tour from Main Street Texarkana and the Texas Historical Commission’s Texas Main Street Program (TMSP).

This is a very special opportunity for potential investors, downtown developers, entrepreneurs and Texarkana residents to Imagine the Possibilities of downtown.

This will be an open-house style tour designed to showcase historic buildings and encourage preservation-based economic development using the innovative DowntownTX.org. The tour will be held on Friday, October 13 starting at 5 PM and going to 7 PM in the historic downtown Texarkana, USA.

The Imagine the Possibilities Texarkana Tour will give the public the chance to see selected properties while discussing downtown revitalization. This tour will also highlight the history of the buildings. You'll be touring historic buildings that are currently under development or buildings that are currently for sale or lease.

According to a press release, the properties highlighted on the tour are located on State Line, Main Street and Broad Street which are the heart of the original city.

218 Main Street - a circa 1915 building that was once home to Stewart Title.

124 West Broad - a circa 1885 building that has been everything from a saloon to a bookstore.

217 West Broad - was a Railroad hotel, now Silvermoon event venue.

313 West Broad - a historic building with move-in ready spaces.

315 West Broad - part of the Lot 26 project revitalizing several buildings at once!

320 West Broad - This decorative circa 1888 building recently housed Friends of the Library.

301 N. State Line Avenue - Lofts at Hotel Grim will be pre-leasing on October 13!

The open house tour is free and you will start at 218 Main Street and then follow the balloons through downtown. Be sure to stay after the tour for October’s Downtown Live with live artists and performers. You will also be able to shop at some of the downtown businesses and enjoy the restaurants downtown too. Downtown Live is takes place the second Friday of every month 6 PM to 9 PM.
