Who would have thought in a million years that Dierks High School in Arkansas would win $1 million from a T-Mobile promotion, Friday Night 5G Lights contest?

National Known Celebrities Show Up for Dierks High School Celebration

Competing with other schools across the country, Dierks was chosen as the winner after 2 million votes. With the newfound money, the school will benefit from a total upgrade of its football field and athletic facilities.

The community of 900 people celebrated on Friday night with surprise guest appearances from country music star Bailey Zimmerman and four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski. According to a report from KARK-TV, Outlaws’ Head Football Coach and Athletic Director, Paul Ernest, was very appreciative of the parents who helped drive the promotion, players, the students, and the community for their undying support.

The outpouring from the community, not just in Dierks, but also support from across the country, has put this small town in the spotlight forever.

Big Tailgate Party Coming Next Football Season

A stadium committee is being formed to help determine the best use of the funds. When the field and upgrades are complete, including a new Gronk Fitness weight room, T-Mobile plans a big tailgate party next football season.
