
‘All-Star’ Arrival: CPKC Holiday Train Lights Up Texarkana With Music + Donation
The lighted CPKC Holiday Train rolled into downtown Texarkana at the West 4th Street and Lelia Street crossing late Sunday afternoon.
CPKC Holiday Train Delights Families and Children of All Ages in Texarkana
Braving the chilly cold air, hundreds of families and their children waved and cheered as the train arrived around 4:45 p.m. The Canadian Pacific Kansas City Holiday Train travels across parts of the United States, spreading the spirit of the holiday season with musical guests at each stop. The whistle stop was approximately 30 minutes before departing for Shreveport, Louisiana.

The Grammy-nominated group "Smash Mouth," led by lead singer Zach Goode, performed "I'm a Believer" from the movie Shrek and their smash hit, "All Star."
Canadian Artist JJ Wilde Spreads The Holiday Spirit with Some Christmas Songs
Canadian rocker JJ Wilde performed her 2024 hit, Take Me Back," and several holiday favorites that had the crowd swaying, dancing, and singing along. I just wish it were dark so you could get the full effects of the lighted train.

Main Mission of the CPKC Holiday Train
The main mission of the CPKC Holiday Train is to show its support to local food banks across the country. While in Texarkana, CPKC officials presented an $8,000 donation to Camille Wrinkle of Harvest Regional Food Bank alongside Texarkana, Texas City Mayor Bob Bruggeman. According to the Texarkana Gazette, the money will be used for a community-wide feeding event.
