Congratulations to TexAmericas in Texarkana Celebrating a Record Growth

The numbers are in and they are big. TexAmerica Center in Texarkana announced their continued growth in new business and their year-over-year job growth and the growth is impressive.

TexAmericas Center is one of the largest industrial parks in the country. In the 2023 TexAmericas Center Annual Census of Employment and Payroll report announced its highest combined tenant payroll and not only that but also the largest number of tenants on their footprint in its history.

Over the 2023 fiscal year, these tenants have provided $56.6 million dollars in combined annual payroll, which is a 17% increase from last year 2022.

The numbers for employment are impressive too with 1,359 jobs, which is an 81% increase year over year.

Scott Norton, Executive Director and CEO of TexAmericas Center stated in a press release,

New defense contracts stemming from support to the Red River Army Depot are partially to thank for the increase in employment and salaries. The defense contracts have helped spur continued economic development because they’re also having an impact on surrounding businesses that are supplementing services, becoming vendors, and supporting these contracts. We have a robust ammunition and energetics cluster on our footprint, and this year’s Census report emphasizes the strategy behind those clusters.

TexAmerica brought in six new businesses this year and has a 93% retention rate of existing tenants, which obviously means the tenants like it there.

TexAmericas Center is still recruiting domestic companies to its footprint while also courting foreign investments and overseas companies that are looking to expand here in the States.
