Cleo the Black Cat Stealing More Than the Neighborhoods Heart

Are you superstitious about black cats? Often when you think of black cats you think of Halloween and witchcraft, some people are so spooked by them that they will go out of their way to avoid them because they believe they will bring them bad luck.

Personally, I think black cats get a bad rap and in some cultures, black cats are considered good luck.  I had black cats growing up as a kid as a matter of fact there is a neighborhood black cat that shows up in my backyard on occasion, he seems very friendly I don't think he's there to cast a spell on me. This brings me to a recent story about a black cat in Texas that has become somewhat of an internet star.

Sure, all cats are mischievous but this cat is super mischievous because of what he likes to do in the Houston neighborhood where he lives. He likes to roam a little too much.

He's become known as Cleo the cat burglar (no pun intended) because he likes bringing all types of clothing from bikinis, to clean folded laundry, blankets, and other items to his owner's home where he drops them off, enough items to fill up a laundry basket.

Caught in the Act

People in the neighborhood say they have seen the cat climb into open windows to get into a house and even climb into a parked car's sunroof to snag a few items. At times the cat gets caught red-handed with the item in its mouth and as soon as he makes contact with his owner he drops the stolen goods and takes off running like a thief in the night.

The cat's owner has become so embarrassed about the ordeal that she washes the clothes and has even put up a sign for her neighbors to come and retrieve their stolen goods.

Cleo has become so popular in the neighborhood and on the internet the cat now has his very own t-shirt you can purchase with the proceeds going to an animal shelter.

So, there you go this Halloween cat is all treats and no tricks at least not yet!
