Free Artist INC Express Workshop Comes to Texarkana In April
Artists in the Texarkana area will soon have a free opportunity to sharpen their business skills and strengthen their creative careers through Artist INC Express.
The program, developed by the Mid-America Arts Alliance, is partnering with the Arkansas Arts Council and the Texas Commission on the Arts to bring the hands-on workshop to town this April.
What Is Artist INC Express?
Artist INC Express is an intensive, 10-hour, in-person workshop designed to help artists of all disciplines build the foundation for a sustainable and thriving arts practice. The workshop is a condensed version of the well-known Artist INC eight-week program, which has served more than 2,000 artists since 2009.
Making Your Art Your Career
Participants will work with experienced, practicing artists who serve as facilitators. Through guided discussions, exercises, and small group work, attendees will:
- Set professional and creative goals
- Learn how to write effectively about their work
- Build and refine their personal brand
- Address common challenges artists face throughout their careers
Organizers stress that this is not a passive classroom experience. Artists are expected to commit to the full 10 hours, as each session builds on the last and encourages meaningful peer connections.
