Arkansas Game and Fish Reveals Its Newest Award-Winning Plate Design
If there's one thing I love about Arkansas, it's the creativity of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission when it comes to license plates. Drivers across the state will get the option for a new conservation license plate this year.
New 2026 Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Conservation License Plate
The new 2026 Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Conservation License Plate has been released. The artwork design from AGFC Greta James reflects the beauty of the Natural State with a colorful painted bunting, a bird native to Arkansas. According to THV11, this marks the 10th design from the award-winning art director.

The beautiful bunting spends most of their nesting and breeding season in Arkansas during the summer, while other species fly further north.
The painted bunting represents the 9th bird species featured on a conservation license plate. So far, the conservation program has raised over $21 million for scholarships for students, materials needed for AGFC nature centers, and efforts to improve hunting and fishing in Arkansas.
