You can always tell when spring has arrived because I saw my first sign of pollen but that's not all flowers are blooming everywhere. As a matter of fact, have you heard of the tulip farm in Pilot Point, Texas just north of Dallas?

The farm is named Texas Tulips, there you will discover rows and rows of every color, every kind of tulip you can imagine in all shapes and sizes. The best part about this sprawling 6 acre Texas Tulip Farm is you can personally pick tulips to take home or make them into a designer bouquet. That's right, grab a basket and tiptoe through the tulips as that old Tiny Tim song used to say. Oh, wait a minute, you're in Texas so I guess that would mean you would two-step through the tulips. And don't worry, Texas Tulips will wrap them up for you for maximum freshness.

The entry fee is only $5 and kids get in free, after that tulips are $2.50 per tulip and that includes wrapping and freshness gel. This makes some great family fun but remember tulip season doesn't last long, now is the perfect time to set your sites on the Texas Tulip Farm. Nothing makes a more beautiful Easter baskets than decorating it with some freshly picked tulips.

Texas Tulips is open Mon-Sun from 10 am until 8 pm. A concession stand is available for food and parking is free. Texas Tulips also makes some awesome pictures for professional photographers just ask about their photographer fee.
