Fifth Harmony Rings in 2017 With All Five Members on Dick Clark’s ‘Rockin’ Eve’
Fifth Harmony helped celebrate the arrival of 2017 on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve last night with all five original members performing hits "Work From Home," "That's My Girl," and "Worth It."
The segments were pre-recorded in November, weeks before Camila Cabello announced her departure from the group on Dec. 19.
If the girls knew of Cabello's pending announcement, it didn't show on stage, as the members of Fifth Harmony killed it as a team. They were also joined by Ty Dolla $ign and Kid Ink for the tracks "Work From Home" and "Worth It," respectively.
In a chat with Billboard, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve hosts Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy addressed the elephant in the room regarding having taped performances on TV after the drama erupted between the girls on social media.
"Egos kind of get in the way; everyone wants a say on their own creativity; and they need to break out and do their thing," McCarthy told the site. "Then they come back [when] they realize 'I need to get paid.'"
"They want the good table at the restaurant, too," Seacrest added. "We are excited to have Fifth Harmony, who have had an incredible year. They've been doing it for a while, and this was really a breakout time for them."
