CHRISTUS St. Michael has announced they are going to be expanding with the development of an additional location CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital-West.

Ground for the new multi-million dollar hospital will be broken sometime early this year. The hospital will be located at the northeast corner of Gibson Lane and Arista Blvd and is expected to open in 2023. The new, fully-licensed hospital will be conveniently located, providing easy access for patients, associates, medical staff, and visitors.

CHRISTUS St. Michael-West will include emergency services, inpatient beds, imaging and other clinical services, therapy services, and expanded medical office space for numerous specialists.

25 years ago on December 4, CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System accepted their first patient in their current hospital on St. Michael Drive. The relocation of the hospital in 1994 represented a $140-million initial investment, and now CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital-West is an investment in that legacy. The new additional location will continue to show their support and commitment to our community and is an investment into growth and technology for years to come in the four-state area.
