The twin cities are getting ready for the 3rd Annual 'Dine on the Line' on Saturday, Oct, 7, 2017 in downtown Texarkana to benefit Main Street Texarkana restoration projects.

The event fundraiser kicks off at 4PM until 9PM and this year Dine on the Line will feature food from our local downtown restaurants, Pecan Point, Verona and Johnny B's. What makes this dining experience so unique is that citizens from both sides of Texarkana will gather to dine right in the center of state line leading up to near the front of the Post Office. It's the longest table you've ever seen that stretches down State Line Avenue.

Bringing the two cities together is a celebration of living in a town that is governed by two states and has two mayors. There will be a toast around sunset with both mayors to celebrate our community during this special event and I will be there too to help with the celebration activities. In addition, there will be live music from the Dusty Rose Band who recently received a proclamation from Texarkana, Arkansas Mayor Ruth Penney Bell naming  Sept. 5, 2017 Dusty Rose Band Day.

Cost for the dinner at Dine on the Line this year will be $25 for adults and must be purchased in advance. A kid's plate from Johnny B's will available for $10 for kids 12 and under.
