Worst Parking Lots in Texarkana
Driving in Texarkana can be challenging at times but parking takes on a whole new level of difficulty at some businesses. It's like the parking wasn’t taken into consideration when the building layout was in the planning stage. Sure, the business might have a great location but parking can be a nightmare for the customers.
Where are the worst parking lots in Texarkana? You may have some to add to my list so be sure to drop a quick line. Here are the worst parking lots in Texarkana as far as I know of based on my personal driving habits.

Federal Courthouse
Round and round you go, looking for a parking space and trying not to run into another car that is merely driving through the area. The courthouse is literally in the middle of the road. After you are lucky enough to find a spot to park, then backing out becomes a moment of crossing your fingers and hoping for the best.

McAllister’s Deli
5001 Cowhorn Creek Rd, Texarkana, TexasPeople do not pay attention to the signs listing certain parking spots for just picking up to go orders. The parking lot is too small for the amount of business that they do. The back side of the parking lot is harder to maneuver than the front.

Gold’s Gym Express
2700 Richmond Road, Texarkana, TexasThis entire parking area is a nightmare because there is basically a road that goes right through the middle of the parking lot. This is the same parking lot where my stepson’s mom works so when we are doing any kind of drop off or pick up, I am on high alert for people driving fast. You have people backing out of the parking directly in front of the building, then the others who are in the slanted parking spaces trying to back out with others waiting in the long line at the signal. I don’t think the designers thought this area would be as busy as it is now.

Steak ‘n Shake
5002 N Cowhorn Creek Loop, Texarkana, TexasThis parking area is not the easiest to get to then add the fact that the drive thru seems to be packed most of the times that I go by. It is just an awkward space to maneuver.

Townsquare Media
2324 Arkansas Blvd, Texarkana, Ark.The parking space lines are so faded that I can’t see them in the morning when I’m trying to park. My truck is too big to manage getting out if I don’t back in. It turns into a 15-point turnaround so I just find it easier to back in but that’s difficult when you can’t see the lines. Even parking in the customer area is difficult because there isn’t enough room to swing out and pull in straight. Obviously, if you have a small car it isn’t that bad other than the large pothole that is turning into a crater.
