In addition to performing, Justin Timberlake will be accepting the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard trophy at this Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards.  But so what?  We've seen him accept trophies and perform a zillion times on award shows in the past.  Well, here's a reason you may want to set your DVR: the show will reportedly feature an 'N SYNC reunion.

Quoting an unnamed source, the New York Post is claiming that Justin will reunite with Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez for a special performance at Sunday's show, which will air live from Brooklyn's Barclays Center.  Justin and the rest of the guys in 'N SYNC are all on friendly terms, so it's not as though they have to bury the hatchet in order to get back together.  In fact, the Post reports that last Friday night, all the members of 'N SYNC were spotted in the VIP section of Justin's concert in Miami, along with JT's wife Jessica Biel and mom Lynn Harless.

Meanwhile, a Twitter user who claims to be an MTV intern has tweeted the reunion news as well, and insists that it is true.

'N SYNC's last public performance was at the group's Challenge for the Children charity event in 2004, where they sang "The Star-Spangled Banner."  In 2005, they were together at the final installment of the charity event, but didn't sing.  Now that Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees and New Kids on the Block have all reunited, though, and One Direction is ruling the charts, it may be the perfect time for Justin and the guys to show them all how it's done.
