Summer vacation actually means not much quality time with the kids. When it comes to the kids being home from summer, there's the romantic view of things and then there is the reality.

The romantic view is that the kids will frolic outside, chasing butterflies, staring at the clouds, playing with friends in the yard and badminton games at the neighbor's house.

The reality is it is too hot to go outside much. The kids will fight with each other non-stop until you go crazy, unless you turn on the TV.
