Lately I have felt colder a lot more than I used to. At work I am bundled up when I used to be the one bumping the AC thermostat down. What's up with that?

The weather so far this winter has been kind of crazy. Its warm a couple of days then bitter cold for a week. According to Live Science, here are four weird things that can make you even COLDER.

1. Not eating enough. Your body is better at dealing with the cold when you've had enough to eat. And the same thing goes for staying hydrated.

2. Being on medication. Drugs that treat high blood pressure, like beta-blockers, can make you more sensitive to the cold. So can some medical conditions, like hypothyroidism.

3. Being over 60. Not much you can do about it, but here's why: Shivering is your body's way of keeping warm by making your muscles spasm. But as you age, it doesn't work as well. And you don't develop the ability to shiver until you're about two, so babies don't do it at all.

4. Being used to warm weather. If you live somewhere warm and go somewhere cold for the holidays, you won't deal with it as well as people who live there. And it's not just a mental thing, your body acclimates to it. But researchers still aren't sure why.
