Wear Pink and Show Your Support on Friday, October 12
This Friday is ‘Pink Out Day’ in Texarkana. To highlight breast cancer awareness month please wear pink on Friday, October 12, 2012.
The Today’s Youth Tomorrow’s Leaders Class of 2012, in conjunction with Komen Texarkana, is sponsoring a city-wide Pink Out Texarkana Day. Their goal is to join together as a city and support an organization that educates the Texarkana area and helps fund mammograms and treatment for breast cancer patients.
Arkansas High, Texas High, Pleasant Grove High and Liberty Eylau High are planning special events on their campuses to honor this event. Pep rallies and a balloon releases will signify the schools’ support of ‘Pink Out Day’ in Texarkana.
If you plan to have your own event to support survivors and patients, please contact the Komen Texarkana office: firstname.lastname@example.org or 903-791-9585.
Today’s Youth Tomorrow’s Leaders is a division of Leadership Texarkana committed to educating and cultivating area high school students to be life-long leaders in their community.
