Ways to Work Outside During High Heat Index Months

What the heck is going on in this video? I was shocked to see workers in the median of the Interstate before 5 a.m.

With the heat index being over 100, we have to think of safe ways to get work done outside without risking our health.

At first I thought about how scared I would be if I had to work by headlights in the middle of the road. Then I thought about how hot it would be in the very same spot in the middle of the day. It made sense to me so last night I tried the same thing at home. I used a flashlight to do some of the chores that it was too hot to do in the daylight hours. The mosquitoes were very happy to have dinner and I was still soaked in sweat but at least I didn't have to worry about the heat index.
