UPDATE: At approximately 3 p.m. today, July 29, investigators with the Hope Police Department arrested Travon Davis, 17, for Murder in the 1st Degree in connection with the homicide that occurred earlier today. Davis was taken into custody in Magnolia, Ark., without incident and transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility where he will be held for a first appearance.

On July 29, 2015 at approximately 1:30 a.m. officers of the Hope Police Department responded to the 400 block of East Berry Street in Hope in reference to a person being shot.

When officers arrived at the scene they located Ivory Conway Jr., 24, who was deceased and seated in a vehicle with what appeared to be several gunshot wounds.

A warrant has been issued for Travon Davis, 17, of Hope, for first degree murder in connection with the incident. Davis was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark shorts, and white shoes. Davis is considered to be armed and dangerous.
