‘Walk For Life’ Saturday

The Walk For Life to benefit 1st Choice Pregnancy Resource Center in Texarkana is this Saturday at Spring Lake Park.

1st Choice Pregnancy Resource Center will hold its 19th annual Walk for Life Saturday at Spring Lake Park.The walk this year, we will be at Pavilion 2 next to the airplane. Events include 5K and 10K races, a 1-mile fun run for kids.

Registration for the 5K and 10K starts at 7 a.m., with the race starting at 7:30. The race will be timed this year with awards for the top 3 finishers for male and female in each age category as well as for overall male and female. There is also a stroller division for those active parents.

The Kids' Fun Run will begin at 8 and the Walk for life starts at approximately 9:30  There will be activities for the whole family, so make sure to bring the entire family.

1st Choice is a non-profit organization that provides free services to those who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. Their goal is to empower their clients to choose life. All of their services, including pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes, access to their Mommy Store, resource referrals and much more are offered free of charge.
