Here's a story you probably didn't think you'd hear today. Vanilla Ice was arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft.

According to TMZ, the 47-year-old rapper, born Robert Van Winkle, was renovating a house in Florida for his television show, The Vanilla Ice Project, recently and decided to snoop around a nearby home, which was vacant. The former owner didn't live there any longer but still had furniture inside.

For some reason, the rhymer, known for his '90's hit "Ice Ice Baby," took it upon himself to remove the furniture from the home and take it with him. He even stole a pool heater, bicycles and other items.

Variety reports he was taken into custody earlier today (Feb. 18) and police found the missing items in his home after obtaining a search warrant. The Columbus Dispatch reveals Winkle is set to appear in Ohio at the Expo Center for the Home & Garden Show on Feb. 21. It's possible he won't make it after these charges brought against him.

In an interview with the newspaper, Winkle explained how music and renovating homes have similarities. "It seems like separate worlds altogether, but I do apply the same passion, energy, drive that I did in music," he said. "I'm always up for the challenge."

He also revealed his design ideas are inspired from traveling around the globe. "I go to CES (the Consumer Electronics Show) in Vegas to see all the latest stuff, and go all around the world, and stay in hotels. I'll look around and see their design and what's in. I love it all. I'm a little nerdy, I guess," he shared.
