The True Story Behind ‘The National Anthem’

This morning in the show we talked about Kaley Cuoco and how her dog sitter put a photo on Instagram of her dogs sitting on an American flag. This of course drew great criticism from folks on the internet about how she was disrespecting the American flag and all it stood for in this country's great history. Here is the photo that caused all the fuss.

I found a video that best describes the conflict between the United States and Britain in September of 1814. It goes into great detail what that battle meant and the significance of the flag and it not touching the ground really means. It also gives you some insight into our "National Anthem" and the true meaning of the lyrics written by Francis Scott Key. Here is the video.

After watching this video I now have a new respect for our flag and all it stands for.
