Silver Dollar presents The 3rd annual 'Boggy Creek Wolley Booger Bash'. On November 13th and 15th, we have two proud lineups of up-and-coming heavy bands from all over the country. We’re going big to celebrate a year of booking shows at Silver Dollar. Phantom Killer Promotions is making the occasion the 3rd Annual Boggy Creek Woolly Booger Bash, celebrating all things related to the Fouke Monster. There will be local art featured and some special guests.

How many go-to places for original indie and heavy acts does our town have? Even the region? Not many. For Texarkana, The Silver Dollar and its owners have stepped up to the plate. The bar has been through many phases since opening in 1937. Decades have passed and the old converted roadhouse remains, fueled by live music once more. Depending on the era, you could call the place a juke-joint, you could call it a biker bar, and at many times, a honky-tonk. Now, you can add “music venue” to that list.

Chris "Gator" Allen, vocalist for local heshers Mutha Load, jokingly refers to it as "The Redneck CBGB's". The Twin Peaks-Texarkana renders strange results when we throw shows, and we love it that way.

Over the past year, it has become known in our community for being a surprising location to catch the most ambitious alternative and heavy acts travelling the country. The venue would not be possible without the community of independent artists in the area collectively revitalizing the music scene in Texarkana. We’re proud that folks have seen the worth in celebrating Texarkana and its rich musical history. Watching these people put their own stamp on that history has been very spiritually rewarding.

These two days are a huge celebration for those of us that work with the bar and we hope you join us. Once again, this is for all our friends who now populate this space on a regular basis and embrace the performances, and we hope to see some new faces as well! Fans of art, the warriors of self-expression, join us Thursday, November 13th and Saturday, November 15th for the most amazing bands we could round up. After a year of booking shows at the venue, we can proudly say that this is the best “THANK YOU” of a fest we could muster. We split the festival up with an off day on Friday, the 14th, so everyone that is coming to both can take a breath. The moral support humbles us. Spread the word for these dates and we love you all
