Coffee-holics rejoice! Someone sampled every drink at Starbucks for us so we know which beverages are the best and which ones are the worst. I am a double, skinny, caramel, mocha latte fan and don’t forget the cream, please. At one point I was so addicted to the specialty drinks that I purchased my own coffee machine that even steamed the milk. I got the special syrups and everything. I have since weaned myself off the daily drinks but do enjoy an occasional trip through the coffee shop. Today, Sharisse took my order at the Richmond Road location. She thought it was cute that I had almost forgotten how to rattle off the specifics of my favorite drink.

I like to stick to the same drink when I go, but some folks like to venture out and try different drinks. A writer for Yahoo ranked all 51 drinks on the standard Starbucks menu. He had three rules:  One, he didn't include seasonal drinks, so no Pumpkin Spice Latte.  Two, he didn't order a drink hot and iced unless the menu lists them separately.  And three, he didn't customize the drinks at all, like using skim instead of whole milk. The whole thing cost him about $150 and required 13 trips to Starbucks.

His picks for the top five drinks at Starbucks are:

  1. The Coffee Frappuccino.
  2. The Double Chocolaty Chip Crème Frappuccino.
  3. The Mocha Frappuccino.
  4. The Flat White, which is sort of like a latte.
  5. The Java Chip Frappuccino.

So basically, according to this guy, if you order something that resembles a chocolate milkshake you'll be happy and chocolate always makes me happy.

His picks for the worst five drinks are:

  1. The Caramel Frappuccino, because caramel reminds him of the dentist. I obviously do not agree with that but whatever—its his list, not mine.
  2. The Caramel Iced Coffee.
  3. The Teavana Youthberry.
  4. Cool Lime Starbucks Refreshers.
  5. The Green Tea Crème Frappuccino.

And right above those he put Espresso and Cappuccino.  So it sounds like this guy doesn't like actual coffee in the first place but maybe that's the typical Starbucks customer now. I love coffee so his list and mine would probably not align.  His review of an Espresso sort of proves it.

Sharisse told me, “When I first started working here I would do two quad shots a day.” Uh like wowzers woman! I might climb the walls but she has kids so she needed the extra help.
