Texas A&M University-Texarkana has been named to Online College Plan’s list of “50 Most Affordable Online Bachelor’s Degree-granting Colleges.”

The list is compiled from data from the National Center for Education Statistics, a bureau of the U.S. Department of Education, for all institutions of higher learning that offer online bachelor’s degrees. The information is based on reported net yearly average price.

A&M-Texarkana ranked 30th among the institutions included on the list, which specifically mentioned the university’s online Registered Nursing to Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

The article also noted A&M-Texarkana’s use of distance education tools and resources, including the Blackboard learning management system, interactive videoconferencing and Texas A&M System’s course exchange portal.

“I’m pleased, but not surprised, to hear that we made this list,” said Dr. Rosanne Stripling, provost and vice president for Academic and Student Affairs at A&M-Texarkana. “Our efforts to improve the quality of instruction in all of our online course delivery while keeping increases in tuition and fees at a minimum has been a deliberate effort over the last few years.”

A&M-Texarkana also offers online master’s degrees in Business Administration, Instructional Technology and Nursing.
