The Texarkana Twins added some depth to the infield with the addition of catcher Axel Poesmans and LSU-Shreveport’s Matthew Hammock.

According to a press release, Axel Poesmans is in his junior year at Mid-America Christian. The Hasselt, Belgium native has started in 28 games for the Evangels this season. Poesmans has a .444 slugging percentage and 19 runs batted in. Behind the plate, Poesmans has caught 12 runners stealing of the 23 attempts.

Matthew Hammock is a junior at LSU-Shreveport. The transfer from Bossier Parish Community College has played 48 games making 43 starts this year for the Pilots. In the field, Hammock has a  .989 fielding percentage with only 3 errors on the year. Hammock has appeared at the plate 136 times this season batting in 27 runs for the Pilots.
