Texarkana Police Seek Shooting Suspect

The Texarkana Texas Police Department is looking for a suspect in connection with a shooting incident which occurred last week in the city.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 30 year old Montez Deshean Anderson of Wake Village. Officers were dispatched to a convenience store in the 2700 block of South Lake Drive on October 27 where they found a 27 year old Conway, Arkansas man lying in the parking lot. The victim had been shot twice in the upper chest. He was transported to Wadley Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery and is expected to make a complete recovery.

Detectives determined that the victim had been a passenger in a vehicle at Findley Park. For unknown reasons, the suspect allegedly fired at least two shots through the rear passenger side window striking the victim., The driver then took the victim to the convenience store parking lot on South Lake Drive where officers where called.

Police say the exact nature of the relationship between the two is not know, it is believed that they are at least acquaintances.
