Texarkana Homeowner Fires at Burglars – Police Searching for Suspect

UPDATE: Both suspects are now in custody. One was arrested walking on Hwy 59, and the other was found near the house they were robbing, and is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

A Liberty Eylau man returned to his house around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning to find two men burglarizing his home. He fired shots at the burglars and their vehicle disabling it. Both suspects fled the vehicle on foot.

One of the suspects was found walking on Hwy, 59, and the authorities are searching for the other man.

The incident happened in the Liberty Eylau area on Cummings Lane near Randall Road.
