The Texarkana, Ark., City Board of Directors meets tonight at City Hall. One of the items on the agenda concerns the search for a new City Manager.During the regular meeting, the board will discuss when, how and where to conduct the search for a new, permanent city manager now that Harold Boldt has left.

The board will also consider an ordinance amending and approving Personnel Policy Amendments. Also, city leaders will consider an ordinance to award an engineering contract for Crossroads Business Park Storm Water Management Facilities to MTG Engineers and Surveyors, Inc.

Earlier in the meeting, there will be comments from the Mayor and questions from directors and other businesses. There will also be a presentations section of the meeting.

May 2015 will be proclaimed as National Historic Preservation Month. There will be a presentation by Cable One General Manager David H. Wall, Jr. regarding citizens concerns in connection with the cable providers service to citizens in Texarkana, Arkansas.

There will be a presentation of the City Beautiful Commission's Landscapes Awards for residential to Ramona Flowers and the Commercial award to the Texarkana, Arkansas First United Methodist Church.

There will also be a closed executive session as well during the meeting. Behind closed doors, the board will discuss the employment contract with George M. Matteson. The board will consider adopting a resolution making appointments to various boards and commissions (Advertising and Promotion, Airport Authority, and Planning Commission).

The public is invited to attend the open portion of tonight's meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. The regular meeting will be preceded by an Evaluation Forms Workshop that gets under way at 6 p.m.
