The fifth annual Texarkana Renaissance Faire is this weekend at the Four States Fair Grounds in Texarkana, Ark. Dress up or just show up to enjoy fun for the entire family. The Faire gets bigger and better every year as it continues to grow in popularity. Texarkana’s largest indoor garage sale will feature tons of booths and thousands of items. You name it, you’ll find it at bargain prices! Get your space reserved for the event and turn that pile of "stuff" into cash so you can buy more stuff. The event will be Saturday from 7am to 1pm at Four States Entertainment Center, 3700 E 50th Street, Texarkana, Arkansas.

The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope has partnered with the National Park Service to offer a Junior Ranger Explorer Summer Camp August 12th through the 14th.

Tip-a-Cop is a special benefit for Special Olympics that will be held at Texas Roadhouse on Thursday, July 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Texarkana has a roller derby squad! The Quad State Derby Dames will be having Roller Derby practice each Wednesday night at Skate America. The league is always recruiting skaters, referrees, non-skate officials and sponsors. All skating levels are welcome! You do not have to skate to be involved.

Last week I wrote about a benefit that will take place for Mary Adcock and Vicki Lawrence. The mother and daughter are both fighting cancer.  Now, the date is set! So, please mark your calendars for Sunday, August 11 at Shooters!
