road conditions

We've had so much rain this week in the Texarkana area that the trees on either side of the road leading to my house are water-logged and leaning so low that the road looks more like a path.

These videos were taken this morning, Thursday, Feb. 26. There is one video that shows the conditions on Miller County roads as well as Hwy 71 South. The second video shows conditions on I-549, Loop 245 and Arkansas Blvd. There are some areas of patchy snow and black ice this morning.

With sleet, snow and freezing rain falling for a majority of Monday, Feb. 23, the roads were a treacherous journey to work, school and running errands. I ventured out today and shot video to show what city travel looked like around lunch time. Then I shot more video of my trip home. I video taped my trip in this morning so you could see what the roads looked like before you head out this morning. I purposely hit the breaks on some of the bridges so I could tell our listeners if it was slippery out this morning or not. Most of the roads were not bad at all except a few of the bridges which were icy. The bridge right by Cooper Tire made me cringe when I went over it so I didn't
