Our local animal shelter currently has over 70 dogs, many puppies, over 30 cats and kittens available for adoption. There are many others waiting for their chance to get on the adoption floor so please consider adding a furry friend to your family. The fee to adopt a dog is only $40 and just $20 for a cat.

Now through the end of October, Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital is starting a drive to Chip Texarkana by micro-chipping your pet . For each pet that is chipped, $10 will be donated to the local animal rescue or local animal shelter of your choice.

Mudbug Madness was a few weeks ago in Shreveport. I love to shop the vendor booths, eat crawfish of course and listen to zydeco music. This year I decided to get into the crawfish eating contest too.
