Sometimes a vacation is more work than fun when you have to do a bunch of planning. It is a lot of work for me because I have so many animals to make arrangements for. The thought of a "staycation" really sounded good. Especially when I realized I had a bunch of time to use or lose before the end of the year.

I have a goal to downsize, organize, simplify my life by 2012 so staying home for a week sounded like a good plan. I probably would have been much further along in my plans had I not gotten sick on the very first day of my staycation. What luck!

Dasher is a young pup. He is a Dachshund/Terrier mix with ears that stretch out a long way. He loves to be held. An adorable dog that has been at the shelter for a while. Dasher comes with a FREE wellness exam from Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital.

Our local animal shelter currently has over 70 dogs, many puppies, over 30 cats and kittens available for adoption. There are many others waiting for their chance to get on the adoption floor so please consider adding a furry friend to your family. The fee to adopt a dog is only $40 and just $20 for a cat.

Now through the end of October, Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital is starting a drive to Chip Texarkana by micro-chipping your pet . For each pet that is chipped, $10 will be donated to the local animal rescue or local animal shelter of your choice.
