peppers

This pepper was supposed to be a Sweet Cherry Pepper. Obviously it isn't what I thought I was buying and these suckers are HOT. What kind of pepper do you think it is?

My husband and I planted a huge garden this year and we are in danger of losing several plants. There is something growning that looks like it could be plant-ending. Do you recognize what the issue is? Do you have any suggestions? Please help! I don't want to lose my beautiful tomato plants.
