One Direction's Liam Payne has taken to Twitter to apologize for posing for a photo in which he's pictured doing something pretty unsafe: standing on the ledge of a building, more than 360 feet up.

One Direction's brand is marketed in all sorts of ways. From fragrances to clothes to bedsheets, 1D and their faces are everywhere. The boys and their marketing team have found a utilitarian way to promote the brand, as well. They've teamed with British eyewear company Vision Express for 1D-branded reading glasses expressly for females.

One Direction enjoyed a pair of big wins and a heralded appearance at the NRJ Awards in France on Saturday, Dec. 14. The boys showed up to the event as unit. However, Harry Styles didn't stick around for the festivities. Instead, he reportedly ditched his bandmates and rushed back to London to meet up with and rendezvous with reported lady love Kendall Jenner.

The British act is now the first group ever to have their first three albums debut at #1.
