One Direction

Those One Direction boys really have each other's backs. Liam Payne (who recently shaved his head), is worried about his bro and bandmate Zayn Malik. Payne fears for Malik since the latter is having a hard time dealing with online criticism that has come along with the boys' stratospheric rise to fame.

One Directionare beautiful even when they're not in color. The world's biggest boy band covered Fabulous magazine, both as a group and individually, and they look amazing. Big surprise there!

One Direction should start sporting capes and tights (hey-o!), because they're being enlisted to save the day. The U.S. version of 'X Factor,' despite an A-list new panel, has sinking ratings -- and Simon Cowell thinks that 1D are just the boy band to remedy that.

One Direction delivered arguably the most highly anticipated performance at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, and they didn't disappoint. Not that they could if they tried, but whatevs!

And so it begins! The 2012 Video Music Awards started off with quite a bang, thanks to host and comedian Kevin Hart, who by the way, left no celebrity unscathed during his opening monologue. After the stage diving into the crowd, he announced the arrival of Katy Perry to give out the first onstage award of the evening for Best Pop Video.

Harry Styles, probably the most popular member of One Direction, judging from the fact that he has the most Twitter followers of the quintet, inadvertently revealed a new tattoo during the band’s video shoot for the new single ‘Live While We’re Young.’

Imagine visiting the local mall to buy some new jeans, turning a corner and seeing One Direction performing "What Makes You Beautiful"...for free?  That's what some lucky shoppers in London experienced on Thursday, according to U.K.'s Daily Mirror.

In what may well be the funniest thing you see all day, One Direction members Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik — with a little help from Nickelodeon and a really good actress — pranked fellow members Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Harry Styles hard on set.

In the U.K. and Ireland, a word that's among one of the most shocking and offensive to Americans. the so-called "c" word,  is used quite often as a run-of-the-mill insult or even an endearment.

This fall, you'll be able to wake up with One Direction and jam out to them all day long. Licensing.biz reports that the British boy band will be launching a line of headphones, earbuds, speakers, microphones, walkie-talkies, alarm clocks, boom boxes and karaoke machines.

Not long ago, a California group called One Direction sued the chart-topping British boy band of the same name, accusing them of stealing their moniker.  Now, the U.K. One Direction has countersued, saying that the U.S. group stole their name.

One Direction's status as one of the U.K.'s biggest musical exports at the moment will be cemented with a prime spot at the closing ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics, reports The Daily Star.
