ADOPTED! Rosie is a Finnish Spitz mix that is about 2 years old. She is full of personality! She is good with dogs, great on a leash, rolls over and knows how to sit. Rosie has been at the shelter for almost 1 year and desperately needs to be adopted. Rosie will be an easy dog to handle and train. She is very loving. Rosie's time is short, very short.

Our local animal shelter currently has over 70 dogs, many puppies, over 30 cats and kittens available for adoption. There are many others waiting for their chance to get on the adoption floor so please consider adding a furry friend to your family. The fee to adopt a dog is only $40 and just $20 for a cat.

Now through the end of October, Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital is starting a drive to Chip Texarkana by micro-chipping your pet . For each pet that is chipped, $10 will be donated to the local animal rescue or local animal shelter of your choice.

Meet our in-studio guest today: Mercedes is a chihuahua mix. She is approximately one year old. A super sweet little girl that is scared to death. Almost as much as Brandie Bristow, our volunteer for the morning!

Mercedes just chilled out in the studio with us. She likes to lay at your feet, where she feels safe. Her adorable personality and her quarter-tail set her out of the brown-dog group.

Meet our in-studio guest today: Ally is approx 4 to 5 months old. She's a sweetheart. Cattle dog/Terrier/German Shepherd mixed pup. She and her 2 siblings (Addison & Terry) are also at our local animal shelter waiting to be adopted. Smart dogs. Ally is great on a leash for a puppy that has probably never been on a leash.
